“If you love Punk, Metal & NYHC and you love music that is just straight up in your face, unforgiving and a kick in the teeth then you will love The Defiant - Aired Beggin for a Bullet 06/26/14”
“The real reason for my jaunt out to Rackems on Friday night was to see The Defiant. The Defiant are the quintessential warriors for a world that we used to know. One of the highlights of their set was the song “Infidel”. Starting out with a hard hitting marching drum beat, reminiscent of U2’s Sunday Bloody Sunday …I felt like I was going off to war with these guys to fight right along side them for our country. Then all of a sudden a musicgasm breaks out and you’re suddenly chanting this song right along with them. The Defiant is just that…defying all odds and getting it all done. They get 5 stars as well this weekend from The SoundCheck… and they gained another fan with me. Check out The Defiant website at www.wearethedefiant.com then…STOMP…STOMP… STOMP on the LIKE button on their Facebook page…Your ears will thank you!! www.facebook.com/wearethedefiant - Live Show Review Rack'em Billiards Friday 6/12/2014”
"They play so fast I think their guitarist will get carpal tunnel. I think there guys are like a modern day metal version of the Ramones!"
“If Black Sabbath had fu*ked Slayer, The Defiant would be their bastard offspring!”
“The Defiant have a true southern flavor to their brand of punk / metal. Kinda like a thick Southern Metal molasses!”
“While performing at the 10th Annual Rock Solid Pressure Showcase in front of Industry Insiders, their talent & stage presence was also noticed by Chris Kurtz from the Media Twist Group & he offered The Defiant a spot on the 6th Annual Rockaplaooza in Jackson Michigan in June of 2013. With over 12, 500 in attendance at last years Rockapalooza, The Defiant know that this opportunity is an excellent chance to showcase their talent to an unknown audience of music hungry fans.”
“St. Petersburg's metal purveyors The Defiant brought its hardcore sound to a packed house ready to mosh at Beer Goggles Oct. 7. The Defiant promptly took the stage at midnight as the headlining act and began cranking out huge riffs that owed just as much to metal as it did New York hardcore and punk rock. The audience reacted well to the setlist which included songs including "Demigod," "Hellride," and "The Contract." The group even dedicated the track, "Porn Star" to all the women in the audience. "This one is for the all the girls out there. The Defiant love the girls," said lead singer Craig Corr. The Saturday night performance covered a wide range of styles ranging from punk to sludge-rock and attracted music fanatics of all types. Formed in 2009, The Defiant recently released its 10 song, self-titled debut LP. ”
“ "I loved their sound, their lyrics you can understand and their stage presence awesome! Four guys four different looks and yet a harmonious looking band! I'll definitely see them again! Please check out the next HOT band at the Brass mug!"”
