Jo–Nathan drops first Studio Single Real Life Bout It

Dec. 16, 2012 - Toledo Ohio - Dec. 16, 2012 - After great reviews on his mixtape Military Minded, Jo-Nathan gives us a single off his debut album due out Spring of 2013 titled Legit Business. Real Life Bout It drops Jan. 2nd bringing together Jo-Nathan and SGR artists D. Fox and Q in what is expected to be a smash hit. The instrumental came from the PS Beats camp and from the moment the trio heard it they knew it was a hit “PS Beats is one of the hottest production teams on the planet right now, we didn't change there original mix one bit. Q and Fox popped up at the studio one day, I already had been working on this track.. only had the hook done. Next thing I know Q is in the booth doing a mic check and comes out with paper and pen in hand he must have found in the booth. Before the end of the evening it was obvious I was going to have to step my game up.” Says Jo-Nathan from his control station at Area 52 Studios in Toledo, Ohio on this chilly December evening. Jo-Nathan then called good friend and fellow producer Duval Overton II over to mix the vocals down and he sent the track off to Don Grossinger who’s mastering credits include songs or whole albums for Mariah Carey, GhostFace Killah, Monica, Ray Cash, Run DMC and NWA to be Mastered in his World Class facilities “He made it crispy!” says D. Fox.

There is plenty more coming from the North Coast camp “We signed Full Contact to a two album deal and also signed Grouphome Ent. to a joint venture deal which we expect to bring a lot of material to the market with. We have many other things in store for 2013, we will dominate the market.” Says North Coast Music Group CEO Jon Clark.

The South is waving a white flag after being devastated by the North

Jan. 1, 2013 - Toledo, Ohio – January 1, 2013 Been a crazy couple weeks up North, Jo-Nathan and his Army of lyricists have managed to drop the hottest mixtape of the year Military Minded II, three singles from it Just Blowin', Easy and Armageddon, smack TIP down without effort while doing something that's never been done in commercial music ever when they dropped Up North from start to finish inside of 24 hours, dropped the hottest single of 2012 (Up North) and announced that the bar is raised for 2013 with the most anticipated single in the history of hip-hop Real Life Bout It being dropped 1-2-2013. All within the last two weeks.

"So far we are only letting you hear a few of our Generals, North Coast is a hundred strong of raw talent, half dozen labels signed to handle all that talent and a ton of stealth weaponry. This coming year will be a great year for this industry, you are going to see people do things lyrically that have never been done on the mic before. Our versatility is immense, we have artist of all genre, yes I said all genres. We are not focused on hip-hop solely, hip-hop is our foundation, our roots. Hip-hop is a way of life that is now mainstream and excepted by the other genres in ways that we haven't seen in the past. This industry has been reshaped by hiphop, the issue is the ones that used to have the power are greedy. They took hip-hop and commercialized it to the point that they almost ruined it. That is why we stepped up, and now that we have the power we can reshape the industry into what we as artist want it to be and what our fans want it to be. This movement is not about money, even though we are taking the money, the roots of this movement are the love of hip-hop and music in general. There is a secret I want to share with the world, the plan of money, power and respect is twisted and nothing, but course to failure. Let me explain, when you get the money first, you then buy the power and then you use that power to raise fear which you misinterpret as being respect. Our rise to power started with respect, which gave us the power to now take the money." Explains Mr. Clark.

Well there is not much for me to say, but I will close saying this. What started as a simple hip-hop beef has now turned into the Armageddon of the Music Industry.

Jo-Nathans Debut Single Real Life Bout It Receives Great Reviews

Dec. 29, 2012 - Toledo, Ohio- 12-28-2012 - With the 1/2/2013 worldwide release date rapidly approaching, I was given the opportunity to catch a sneak preview of Jo-Nathan’s first studio single, Real Life Bout It featuring Q and D. Fox. Jo-Nathan is the CEO of North Coast Music Group and has chosen Real Life Bout It to step forth into the limelight as an artist while also delivering his record label’s second studio single release. It is also Q and D. Fox’s first feature on a studio single release and all of the artists involved are more than excited about how the project turned out and are extremely optimistic about what lies in store for them once Real Life Bout It make it’s worldwide debut.

From the moment I pushed play on the track, the instrumental (produced by Alex Ju) had me intrigued to hear how the artists would choose to attack the beat. The instrumental definitely has a grimy street feel to it and all 3 artists kept their lyrics true to the mood that the beat sets by making the listener feel their street credit to the fullest. The track was recorded by Mr. R. at North Coast Music Group’s own studio, Area 52 in Toledo, Ohio. Jo-Nathan, Q, and D. Fox provide solid lyrics and strong deliveries throughout while letting the world know who they are and what North Coast Music Group and their artists are all about. Real Life Bout It was mixed down by DuVal Overton II and mastered by Don Grossinger and both professionals put their best work into making this track a success.

Overall, Real Life Bout It is a solid debut single from Jo-Nathan, with two artists ready to make waves featured on it in Q and D. Fox. The beat is one guaranteed to make you bob your head to, the lyrics are rowdy and will have you feeling amped up and ready to take on the world, and the overall sound quality from all the producers and engineers coming together on this project have the final product sounding like a hit from start to finish. 2013 is upon us, and so is Jo-Nathan and the rest of North Coast Music Group and they look poised to make sure that that the rest of the world takes notice. Be on the lookout for Real Life Bout It by Jo-Nathan featuring Q and D. Fox available worldwide on 1/2/2013.

Track Review for Real Life Bout It By Shawn Deville

North Coast Music Group Produces And Publishes The Hottest Track Of 2012

Toledo, Ohio – 12/19/2012 - I'm sitting here in the control room of area 52 Studios with Jon Clark of North Coast Music Group listening to a song that yesterday at this time was never even thought of. What started as a joke, turned into an amazing finished product titled “Up North”. I personally spent the last few days here with the North Coast camp and witnessed this. “I called K-Motion and told him Tip was firing shots at us, you know referencing that garbage T.I. came out with the other day, Addresses (rolling laugh). I was just joking, but Kmo took it seriously and came to the studio and dropped a crazy 16 within 3hrs of the phone call.” Says Jo-Nathan who himself was just finishing up his follow up to his debut Studio Single Real Life Bout It which is due to be released January 2nd Worldwide. D. Fox just happened to be there picking up a copy of Easy a new mixtrack he was featured on that got released recently when K-Motion arrived. The Boss throws on a few beats he had on hand from Alex Je over at PSbeats and within a few “nopes” Kmo yelled out “yup, that's it right there”. D. Fox who was standing next to where I was sitting said “I can spit something to this real quick! Heaven, you ain't got a pen I can use please”? As he goes to the vault to grab his notebook and from that point, it was on! “They had the verses down in a matter of a few hours and I had already at that point set a personal goal to have this track completed and published within 24hrs which I don’t think has ever been done at least not of this quality in the Hiphop Industry or any genre for that matter. So I had my work cut out, I got DuVal on the line and told him I needed him to get over here and get it mixed down asap if he could, which ended up being 8am the next morning.” explains Jon. So my morning started out with the song playing at full volume while DuVal played with all kinds of little knobs and buttons to get the sound just right, by mid morning he was done, but there was still no chorus. Full contact just happened to have a noon appointment here at Area 52 to record a verse for another single he is featured on by Sin who as you know murdered the mixtrack Easy. After that Jon called OG Kenny Mack over to what they call “The Lab” to Master the final product. Its been quite a ride being around the North Coast Music Group artists. I am really surprised about how hard they work and how they have came to the table in the Music Industry. I'm happy to be part of the Fam. So in the end. Was T.I. really firing shots at the North Coast? Only if he's an idiot. For more information go to http://www.reverbnation.com/KmotionNC By: Heaven Lee Press@NorthCoastMusicGroup.com

Shawn Deville Signs to North Coast Music Group

After turning down many offers Shawn Deville who is currently ranked the number one Indie Artist in all genres locally here in Toledo, Ohio chooses local Major Record Label North Coast Music Group to sign a recording deal with. Toledo, OH Since beginning his Solo Indie career Oct. of 2011 Shawn Deville has done everything himself, including booking himself Premier Studio time in California with Johnny Z of Rated Z Recordz to record his Indie Album Troublemaker which he independently Published Commercially to the world 10/16/12. With the success of his Indie Album and the sales numbers reported I wondered why he decided to even sign to a label, he seems to be a one man machine on his way to the top with nothing in his way. When asked about his signing to a Major, this was his reply “I had a few offers and North Coast was by far the most intriguing. They are in my region, their music is fire, and they want to leave complete creative control in my hands. In today’s industry, that’s hard to come by. Not to mention, Mr. Clark really made me believe in what he could do for me and how much he felt my music and that he saw the same possibilities for my talents as I see in myself.” It will be interesting to see the growth of this partnership, I have been the Exclusive Journalist during the progress here at North Coast Music Group and have witness the things that have been happening around here. “We have made some power moves lately and this just adds to our list, NCMG has been around for a number of years getting everything in place to make these power moves and grabs. Shawn is ranked #1 locally for a reason, he is one of the hardest working artist in the game right now, I know I can pair his hard work, dedication and passion for music with strong management, commercial grade production and a solid marketing plan to bring everyone out on top, it is a no lose situation.” Explains North Coast Music Group founder Jon Clark. I asked Shawn what we can expect now that he is an Official Major Label Recording Artist “I was already hard at work on my next project when I was approached by Mr. Clark. In March of this year I will start recording 42 new tracks for 2 albums I’m planning on releasing in summer 2013. “Rollin So Clean” will be a compilation of Club Bangers, RnB tracks, Smoker songs, swag tracks, and party music. “Ridin So Dirty” on the other hand will be nothing but hard music to grind n hustle too with a few porned out tracks mixed in as always! LOL. I don’t know what the first single we will drop will be yet, but guarantee this, the music will be hot!” I will keep the world updated as this relationship develops, so stay with us.
