Final Curse .... Thrash or be Thrashed !!

Final Curse aims to bring back the spirit of the '80s thrash metal created by Metallica, Megadeth, Exodus, and Slayer. They also infuse the pure power of Pantera with many other death metal and NWOAHM influences as well. With guitar twins, solos, and intelligent lyrics the crushing riffs only add more depth to the already pounding package rounded out by thunderous drums and shaking bass. Final Curse is not heavy because of speed, or a low tuning. No, THEY are HEAVY because of their ATTITUDE!!!! Their number one goal is to give the world what it is lacking in this current realm of metal bands- 100% NO BULLSHIT THRASH METAL!! Just as much fans as they are players, Final Curse writes the songs that they would like to hear and always tries to stay fresh and non-repetitive as well as pay tribute to their metal gods while making sure to not copy anyone. The future always holds great things for those who stay true, and these metal madmen will most certainly stay true!! HORNS UP!! Final Curse was formed in the summer of 2006 when Mike Plowman(lead guitar/lead vocals) found lead guitarist and backing vocalist Madison Stegall looking for a thrash outfit. Bass roles were rotated three times until Stephen Moore landed the gig after the band played their first show January 19th, 2007 in Charlotte, NC. With the line up settled the band set out to write a batch of songs to follow up the four song EP "Cursing the Deceivers" released in Spring of '07. While gigging the band wrote six new songs and re-recorded the four on the previous EP to unleash "Constructing the Destructive". It was recorded at Catalyst Recording by Rob Tavaglione and came out brutal and as a much greater mission statement than the previous cut. After another lineup shift David Holquin was brought into the fold. Now Final Curse is rejuvenated, a solid entity, and a more imposing figure. More good things await. Final Curse is beyond excited to be partnered up with the mighty Dark Harvest Records!! We aim to mesh the thrash styling of Metallica and Megadeth with the pure power of Pantera and the frantic fury of Slayer. We have one goal- to bring 100% NO BULLSHIT THRASH METAL to the masses!! What better way to accomplish your goals than team up with like minded friends and partners like the ones we have the pleasure of joining now. We are more than grateful and look forward to getting the metal juggernaut rolling!! The time is here to unleash Final Curse across the world!

All About Sloburn....

The call to arms for southern Virginia's SLOBURN is "redneck metal, " a newly dubbed genre that haphazardly fuses Eighties-metal bombast with hardcore-thrashing breakdowns and alternating scream-sing vocals. Sloburn are a straight-up American metal band in the tradition of Pantera and Lamb of God with a rendition of some 80's influence formed in 2007. The Virginia's five-piece consist of duet singers, Shane Milam with his hoarsely bellows and different vocal range along side Sly Milam who gives them an edge with her female vocals and wicked deep growls. With pounding end of the world bassist Creepy, and guitarist Sammy Deez, riffing out 80's southern vibes they team up along side drummer Brandon King. Brandon's drums are influenced with today's metal bands such as Slipknot. The vocals and drums are more here in the now combined with 80's bass and guitar makes for a southern metal chill. A sound unlike no other the band just signed to Dark Harvest Records and are enthralled to release there debut album "Redneck Metal... straight out the trailer", coming next year 2009. .. .. ..SLOBURN :: August 4, 2009 | E-Card | Dark Harvest Records .. .. ..
