I recently logged on Amazon.com to purchase k.d. lang's new CD...I have a $25 rewards certificate, so I'd basically get it for free.
BUT I am a HUGE Brandi Carlile fan, and I am very excited about the release of her new record! In the meantime, I'm always trying to get my hands on as much of her music as possible... so I figured I'd check out the Brandi situation before easily purchasing the k.d. CD.
What I found on Amazon:
"Acoustic," with 5 tracks, was an EP she released BEFORE she signed with Columbia! It is listed for $229.98! Wowzers.
"Live at Neumo's," also with 5 tracks, one called "The Clock" which I've NEVER heard (can you believe it?), is listed for $49.99. Well, clicked on it and changed my shipping address before even looking at the number of tracks and finding my rewards certificate. Next thing I knew, I clicked "Place Order" thinking it was merely a "Next" button! So...I guess I just bought a $50 CD without my $25 off. (If ya knew my $ situation, you'd know why its kind of a big deal:))Not to shabby, Ms. Carlile, selling songs for $10 each! (I wish SHE were actually making the profit...)
I guess at this point all I have to say is: HAHAHA! oh crap. Well- I CAN'T WAIT 'TIL THAT CD COMES IN! :D
Oh MAN- now what am I gonna do about k.d. lang?
