I saw Jet and The Blue Van last night at Summerland in NJ. They both rocked. Too bad I lost my phone though.

I dropped my son at overnight camp this weekend. He is 12. It is a meloncholy experience. On the one hand you know he will have a great time and get a chance to experience independence - something he desparately wants. On the other hand, it is a sad because you feel like you are abondoning him. Who would have thought something so seemingly innocuous could stir up such strong feelings. Regardless, I will miss him.

Just got back from Germany. I went to see the World Cup quarterfinal in Berlin. Germany played Argentina. It was amazing - no doubt it was the greatest sporting event I have ever been to in my life. The atmosphere was electric. Both Germany and Argentina wore their national pride for all to see. The stadium was lit up with the national colors and the sounds of each country could be heard in the songs and chants. Perhaps the most memmorable sound was the drum beats from Argentina. It felt like you were part of some kind of tribal ritual with the drums providing the backbeat to the ceremony.
