musical tastes

I am what you call an ecclectic, I have several types of music that I enjoy. I guess different moods dictate different tastes, and as I have gotten older, I think I am starting to appreciate a wider spectrum of music categories. I've always been very creative, I love to paint, photography, sculpt and write, and since these can be quite solitary activites, I always put on some music, usually something with a soft melody, depends on the mood I am in at that time. Music for me started when I was very young. I was fortunate to be in a house with a piano, and several other instruments, nah, not going to tell you lol, but I learned to read music. Yes, I was one of those that played in the school orchestra, and was also eventually kicked out of it too, lol. All we ever got to play were the classical pieces, and that can be very limiting especially when you are growing up with some of the biggest groups in the world, playing on the radio. So why was I kicked out, lol? Ok, because I liked to mix my music, I could take a piece of classical music and put a more upbeat sound to it, and my music teacher kept catching me do it. I remember the actual time I was finally kicked out, I was supposed to play a piece of Vivaldi, and played "Strangers on the Shore" by Acker Bilk instead. Even though I did it well, that was it--out! It really didn't bother me, as I had the freedom to play whatever I wanted, I no longer play any instrument, but I do appreciate a good melody or song with a slight orchestral phrase to it. Here is a list of some of the music I enjoy, I guess it will be a right hotchpotch to some, but this is just my preferences:- classical:- Vivaldi, Strauss, Lizst, Bach, Schubert Classics of pop:- Beatles, Jacksons, Areatha Franklin, Diana Ross, most of the motown names too many to mention.
