With a lot of radio stations playing safe with big-name artists, it feels like newer musicians are being left behind and smaller community radio stations are now more important than ever in promoting these performers. Here at Sheppey FM 92.2 (just voted community radio station of 2023), I/we look to promote new music and artists (particularly local talent) but also good music from all around the world. The song 'In My Heart, In My Life' is one of many songs that have come by me this year and I have to pick those that I feel will sit well with our core audience. This song excited me from the start and I just had the feeling that it needs to be heard by as many people as possible. It is a wonderful slice of upbeat pop and I feel that if bigger stations had got behind it, it could have made the top 40. It has a feel-good beat and great lyrics.
