I'm not comparing this band to System of a Down; I am however giving you an example of the type of harmonizing I am referring to. Dusty Grant and Jon Chapman's voices combined in those sparatic locations at just the right times is an intellectual appetizer; luring you in to this delicious entree of metal. It works, it adds depth, dynamics, texture and just makes damn good music. This combined with a married rhythm section and intriguing lead guitar makes this band a definite like for me. “This is a review of a Metal/Hard Rock band out of Wichita called EMPIRE FALLS. This five piece band has an extremely good vocalist for starters, they really have good guitar riffs with driving speed. EF mixes their stuff up rather well, i love how the low growling vocals are mixed with the melodic vocals. The lead vocalist almost has an ANTHRAX feel to his chant, love it! Great band, recommend them for sure!”
