“Citizen Shade’s One For The Evening EP is absolutely mind blowing from the very first moment that vocalist Will Howard opens his mouth on the beautiful opening track, “If You Want.” Obviously, the first thing that stands out about “If You Want” are Howard’s jaw droppingly beautiful vocals (which at times, sound very similar to Sam Smith) but that’s not the only strong thing about this EP. Musically, One For The Evening is amazing as well, from intricate piano parts, strong horn sections and catchy as hell bass lines. Each track on this EP brings something new to the table, making each of them worth listening to. 5 out of 5!”
“soothing vocals backed up by pop melodies to sway too and rich and powerful creative methods that the band have achieved to perfection. You heard it hear on MIMR folks, ready to take over are these guys!”
“Two UNCG students and alumnus are turning heads with new pop trio”
“This trio of talented young musicians is unlike anything I have heard in North Carolina. Their love for music comes through in many ways, including in their selfwritten lyrics.”
“This is an album that everyone, regardless of genre preference, needs to hear and appreciate. Legit talent.”
“With a lead singer who boasts a voice somewhere between Sam Smith and John Legend, and two classically trained musicians backing him, it’s only a matter of time before you hear Citizen Shade selling out stadiums.”
"With a unique, smokey tone and remarkable four-octave range, Howard's vocals have drawn comparison to the soul of John Legend and the conviction of Adele."
“Congrats @JohnLegend @_citizenshade_ @Pitbull @AdrianMarcel510 @NickiMinaj for charting on this weeks R&B/Pop #Top20. http://djbooth.it/rnbpop”
