Riverbeds / Press

“We recognize the emo side, without abusing it, we recognize the post-hardcore side, more subtle, and we love the indie-rock side, pleasant to the ear. Riverbeds has lots of potential for an eventual full lenght album.”

“The band offers a really well rehearsed, just and tight performance for a 50 minutes concert. Special mention to the singer who interprets his music on guitar and vocal in an impeccable way.”

“If you haven't heard of Riverbeds, I suggest you begin paying close attention to them. (...) In their latest EP Hiding Small Things In Obvious Places, Riverbeds gives us the chance to taste a midly dark and enticing combination of alternative riffs and post-hardcore elements, filled with magnetic instrumentals fit for an escapist heart. I found myself lost in harmonious compositions, feeling secure in an atmosphere so warm and familiar. I especially felt that way with three particular tracks, "Iron", "Years" and finally, "Dark".”

“Plenty of oomph rather than an emphasis on the commercial side of things. In other words, they bring it. But not in a bleeding from the ears kind of way. The five songs are all very melodic with the track “Years” being quite soft. Energy is full on in the other four tracks. What I really like about most of their songs is how they build to the choruses which are total sing-along material. Good beat, nice vocals and playing.”
