Best wishes on this project! You sound like the cat to pull off exactly what you are planning. I would love to do a Metallica (or System Of A DOWn) cover with you except I am NOT "as close as possible" to the original vocalist (seeing as I am Black and female : ) and middle aged to boot!) But if you want to try one for the fun of it, let me know. I just got a good USB mic and a great laptop, and already do multitracking etc, so we could even do a duo version for fun.
